Retexture of the Nexus Mark 2 (2011 model design).
Using Generation 5 Hovertank technology, the Nexus Mark 2 (EX1AT2V2) is one of the fastest and most maneuverable tanks in existence and is very effective at high speed infiltration and the destruction of most small assault tanks and light artillery.
The dual forward laser cannons is a experimental attempt at putting lasers into the engine energy cycle, which allows for bursts of high energy at zero expense to the rest of the tank's energy. The main cannon fires a unique round as well, using a self-propelled armor piercing round that travels at high velocities, allowing for the destruction of multiple targets that are lined up. Newer versions are armed with dumb-fire missiles pods armed with 6 HE warheads each.
The static design type means the turret is locked in place on the tank hull, and the tank relies on superior turning speed and acceleration for combat.
Module upgrading will allow for different weapons to be used in a slot-like assembly system.
Armor piercing rounds also have a chance of ricocheting across flat surfaces (walls, and some tanks and shields), but this is entirely random.
